Country + Love

I got such a thrill last week to catch up with one of my best friends from high school, Amanda, who I haven't seen in years, and even more of a thrill to photograph her with her newly fianced boy, Ben.  They were on a holiday to the coast from their home out west and hopefully we managed to capture a little bit of those country roots.  I have to say I loved shooting Amanda's alabaster skin and Ben's electric blue eyes!

Congratulations to you both! Now set a date!

Doug + June

I promised my grandparents about 18 months ago that I'd do a photo shoot of them and this week I FINALLY did it (for one set anyway - hopefully I'll do Nanna & Poppa soon too).

These two are an absolute light in my life and hold so many wonderful childhood memories in their hands and in their house.  These photos hold some of those dear memories...grandpa winding the clock and the sound of it ticking as we went to sleep there on summer holidays, grandma delivering special treats coming out of the big red jars, and grandpa spending hours in his shed turning all sorts of beautiful things.

And in the very last photo is a special cup I used to use as a child and my mother before me...and it still lives on into the next generation!

The Haze

My precious friend Kellie and her hubby got married about five years ago and they didn't have a photographer at their wedding...shock!! So, to give THEM a little something to hang on their wall, and to give ME a little wedding workout and something lovely to show you all, we decided to do a faux wedding shoot.

It was organised a couple of months ago and Kellie had definate ideas about how she wanted it to look...namely, she wanted 'the haze'.  You know that beautiful haze you get through trees and over grass just minutes before sunset?  That was what we wanted to capture, with a little vintage twist.  I have heard about this 'haze' EVERY time we have hung out for two months now! 'We've got to get the haze Anna!'

And so we went after it, and wow!...if I do say so myself.  We went to a special little spot aptly named 'Eden' at Rush Creek and it was a perfect, I mean PERFECT afternoon!  I hope you adore these photos as much as Kellie and I do....xo

PS - The wonderful Jess from 'Makeup with Makeup' did Kellie's beautiful face...look her up on facebook and 'like'!
